Hell, he had not heard him talk in such a way in- well, never. The tone was so different from the soft spoken kid he once knew and the very gentle speaking teen he met four years later.

And Kel didn't know how to fix it. Perhaps another approach would work? Another one showing a bit more of Kel's own insecurities? Hell if he knew, right now he was trying different approaches, the only thing that didn't change was the fact Kel was not letting go of the other.]
